Peanut Butter Bars
Everyone always wants these on their cookie trays each year.
Ingredients:
8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter
½ cup peanut butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup self-rising flour
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Melt butter and peanut butter in bowl over hot water (or a double boiler if you have it). Add remaining ingredients. Stir until blended. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
Yields 15 to 20 bars.
